Shikyo's Ratings: 2 outta 5 PoPcOrNz!
Gore Rating: 2 outta 5 BloODy BaGz!
Yet another no-brainer movie.
But then again, common to all Virus/Disease Horror movies... we can expect the following:
- multiple infected humanoids and/or animals (the little monsters),
- one uber mutated freak of nature (the boss monster),
- one busload of innocents (to run away from death),
- a handful of bad ass heroes/heroines with all the cool moves and cool weapons (to run into death),
- lots of fire, lots of screaming, lots of sudden noises, lots of blood and unidentifiable gooey stuff, lots of scary music, lots of gun blazing and knife slashing action
And all of it... to display the art of dying in multiple creative ways!

Here's where you stop reading
if you haven't seen the film,
and you intend to do so

The Crazy Human Survivors: I don't know if I should find it utterly hilarious or whether I should be disturbed to know that there will always be really stoopid people who care not that the earth is dying around them and can still find sport in throwing other survivors into a pit of infected dogs. I'd understand if they were attempting to carve Alice up and cook her meat since there's so little food left on the planet, but they literally try and get her infected. How smart is that...
The Zombie Crows: The briefing Alice gives at the beginning of the film places the timeline 5 years since worldwide T-virus contamination. What have the other crows (even other scavenger carnivorous animals) been feeding on for 5 years? There should be more zombified animals! And if that ONE crow (that fed on the zombie Alice killed) was the start of entire murder later, then why didn't Alice have the brainz to kill it WHILE it was feeding... don't tell me after 5 years she hasn't seen ONE zombie animal to know that animals are susceptible to infection as well???
Testing the Alice Clones: If Dr. Isaacs only needs clones for blood samples to make cure / reversing serums, why is he "testing" the clones by pitting them against sure death situations? Wait, I think I can answer this... one mad scientist's idea of deranged fun-ness.
No Priorities: The White Queen tells Alice her blood is the KEY to creating the cure and that the facility is fully equip to make it happen. I remember from the movie that the White Queen informs Alice that Mutated Dr. Isaacs is trapped in the lower levels and that he could break the containment she'd set up, which left me to wonder why Alice decided to hunt him instead of working on the serum. But according to Wikipedia the White Queen informs Alice that she needs to get to the lower levels to access the equipments there O_o
ANYWAY, after the big battle with Dr Isaacs and discovering the Alice Clone, what does Alice do? Does she decide to sit around and develop the cure? Nooo she activates the hologram and threatens the rest of Umbrella Corp with her army of clones. There's a disturbing shift from Finding A Cure to Getting Revenge... are people in reality that selfish?
The Ending: WTF! No word on what happened to the other survivors heading to Alaska? No CLUE as to whether or not the book had been drawn up by yet another deranged person with delusions of haven???
And this is why I call this a no-brainer filler movie. You need to turn off your brains, enjoy it as it is, and wait patiently for the next film...
